I'm so glad that I've had the opportunity to bowl in college. I have learned so much from bowling at Martin Methodist. I never realized how much there really is to the sport of bowling. My eyes are now open to things I never even thought of and I can't wait to learn more! I have become a much better bowler over the past few months and I hope I can just keep getting better from here. I started my college bowling at Martin Methodist College but now I'm finally coming home to bowl at the Univeristy of Tennessee. I can't wait to start bowling at UT even though its just a club sport there. I hope that I can learn as much from bowling there as I have learned from MMC.
Hey well I just seen the results from the tournament that I bowled in at Buffalo,NY and I did better then I thought. I ended up finishing 61 in my division which isn't that great but it made me happy and I got $30.00 which makes me even happier cause scholarship money is alwasy good even if its not much. I still can't believe that I finished high enough to get a scholarship(even if it was only $30).
Well lets just say that I feel like I was just slaped in the face and brought back to reality and that reality isn't one that I'm fond of right now. I love bowling so much, but the one thing I hate is to lose. This weekend my college bowling team had a tournament at the college basically just to kinda see what everyone could do. Well lets just say that I bowled alot lower then I had hoped to and well under my average. I feel like I'm so out of place on this team because it just seems like everyone is so much better then me. It is so hard to go from the number one bowler in your region in high school to being at the very bottom of your college team, but I guess that just goes to show that college bowling is on a whole new level compaired to high school bowling. I must admitt that right now my head is down a bit after bowling so bad, but at the same time I now know that if I want to ever be a starter on this team I'm going to have to work twice as hard as the rest, which I am more then willing to do. I just hope that with my coaches insturction that I improve and fast because like I siad I hate to lose and being the second to last bowler on the team is like being punched in the face and it sucks, but I'm just going to make my self that much more dedicated to bowling and just work my butt off to improve.
Hey everyone I haven't posted a blog in along time so I just thought that I would give a quick update. Well I just got back from a bowling tournament in Buffalo, New York. It was so much fun up there, we went over to Canada to see the falls and everything. I didn't bowl that great up there, I bowled my average on the dot although when your average is only a 158 thats not saying much. I guess it could have been worse though so I'm not going to complain to much. I can't wait for this coming weekend though because I have a tournament up at my college that I'm bowling in. I just hope I don't bowl to bad up there. So everyone wish me some luck on this one because I have a feeling that I might need it. Well thats all of the bowling news I got for now.
Hey everyone tonight was the first night of my new Monday Night league and I'm so happy because I bowled my first clean game(230 second highest score for me).I had a good shot at my first 600 series too but I let that get away from me.
