    Can't Wait to Learn More!

    Thursday, January 24, 2008, 11:58 PM [General]

I'm so glad that I've had the opportunity to bowl in college. I have learned so much from bowling at Martin Methodist. I never realized how much there really is to the sport of bowling. My eyes are now open to things I never even thought of and I can't wait to learn more!  I have become a much better bowler over the past few months and I hope I can just keep getting better from here. I started my college bowling at Martin Methodist College but now I'm finally coming home to bowl at the Univeristy of Tennessee. I can't wait to start bowling at UT even though its just a club sport there. I hope that I can learn as much from bowling there as I have learned from MMC.

Not as Bad as I Thought.

Hey well I just seen the results from the tournament that I bowled in at Buffalo,NY and I did better then I thought. I ended up finishing 61 in my division which isn't that great but it made me happy and I got $30.00 which makes me even happier cause scholarship money is alwasy good even if its not much. I still can't believe that I finished high enough to get a scholarship(even if it was only $30).

hey angela thanx for the add....and i was reading your "college bowling blues" blog and i realized u and i have something in common..... our struggles when we bowled for college...ill tell u my story....well i wasnt even a great bowler, not at all, but i liked bowling so i tried out for my college team...coach saw sooo much potential in me that he took me as the 7th man (usually 6 men on the team)...but i was an exception....when it came to matches i was struggling but i knew that i was there for a reason....i ended the season with a horrible 158.....then i told my coach ill be back next year with at least a 210 avg.....next year hasnt come yet....but this is my first year of serious bowling and i already average 201...yeah not the greats but for a person thats just been bowling for 8 months...i think thers potential in that....anyways just be confident dont look down on bowling cuz u know u love it so much...remember take it one frame at a time
